SIHH 2016: Cartier

Non mi entusiasmano gli orologi gioiello anche se ne ammiro l’esecuzione, ma al Salone, di fronte a una vetrina ben custodita, ho fatto un’eccezione: l’orologio a pendente Azur tourbillon misterioso è splendido, è un esemplare unico che ha richiesto 2050 ore di lavoro (17 mesi). Pare sia stato venduto prima ancora dell’apertura del Salone.

I am not fond of jewel-watches but Pendant Azur, perhaps sold before Exhibition opening, is really wonderful. Among novelties two new collections, Drive and Hypnose, and a lot of complicated watches, among them here our favorites.

SIHH 2016: Greubel Forsey

Reduci dal secondo successo al GPHG 2015 (anche nel 2010 avevano vinto l’Aiguille d’Or con il Double Tourbillon 30° edition historique) Robert Greubel e Stephan Forsey esplorano la precisione cronometrica e il tourbillon, da sempre nel loro DNA, ma stanno imboccando anche nuove strade.

After Prix Aiguille d’Or 2015 GF double tourbillon 30° white gold we saw it with a red gold case, but also other novelties, Signature 1 and a “world première” Double Balancier à differentiel constant, without forgetting GardeTemps history.

SIHH 2016: IWC

Sono molte le famiglie degli orologi IWC, da qualche tempo la Marca polarizza l’attenzione su una di loro durante un anno intero e il 2016 è dedicato agli orologi da pilota, anche se pochi anni fa il tema scelto era stato quello dei Top Gun.

Ci sono sempre i ritardatari, soprattutto negli acquisti di un regalo (un’importante orologeria milanese fece una vendita last minute (non per il prezzo) alla vigilia di Natale; oltre l’orario consentito stava chiudendo, ma fece entrare un affannato cliente che comprò un orologio da favola). E a una settimana dal 14 febbraio torniamo in argomento.

reverso gyrotAl Salone gli 85 anni del Reverso hanno polarizzato l’attenzione; soloPolso in gennaio aveva pubblicato le novità diffuse in anteprima da Le Sentier e un articolo    sull’anniversario, ma a Ginevra abbiamo ammirato altri Reverso e, senza far torto all’icona di Jaeger-LeCoultre, anche modelli di altre collezioni.

Before exhibition soloPolso published many Reverso anniversary but in Geneva (without forgetting other collections) we saw others. Besides technique fashion partnership for straps and dials; within few months in JLC boutique Atelier Reverso allow clients to choose details, making the watch a “One”.

SIHH 2016: Montblanc

La Marca con la stella bianca ha intrapreso una strategia interssante: da un lato modelli d’alta orologeria, quelli nati nell’Institut de Recherche a Villeret, riprendendo la tradizione del marchio Minerva acquistato anni or sono da Montblanc, dall’altro la produzione di segnatempo destinati a un più largo pubblico.

It’s interesting Montblanc decisions to divide products between those for a large public with affordable prices, and watches born in Institut de Recherche in Villeret where still there are Minerva tradition and know-how; this brand, founded in XIX Century, was bought some years ago by the Brand belonging to Richemont Group. Nel 2015 la collezione dei Radiomir è stata spesso sotto i riflettori sia a Baselworld sia a Watches&Wonders. Anche l’anteprima del SIHH 2016 era un Radiomir 1940 automatico con quadrante bianco e la scelta si è ripetuto al Salone.

Great interest during 2015 about Radiomir and the same happened at SIHH 2016 where we saw also Luminor collection. Pole position for Scienziato Tourbillon GMT squelette titanium case and movement, for a 500 piecea set and for a new chocolate dial.

SIHH 2016: Parmigiani

Se parlassimo di vini diremmo che i Parmigiani Fleurier sono D.O.C.G., ma anche se sono orologi della Manifattura di Michel Parmigiani recano l’indicazione della zona d’origine: Fleurier. Una valle dove è nato anche il grande maestro orologiaio, Berthoud. Parmigiani Fleurier è dunque il nome dell’azienda, ma per chi ama gli orologi basta dire Parmigiani.

Parmigiani watches are really D.O.C.G. like best wines, for Brand’s anniversary a selfwinding with moon in Tonda collection and, besides Tourbillon we saw in Florence also Galaxy and among Objets d’Art a clock with automate horses.

SIHH 2016: Piaget

La Marca ginevrina si divide fra gli orologi gioiello e la gande tecnica dei movimenti, in particolare ci riferiamo a quella del sottilissimo’Altiplano 38 mm e a quella del nuovo movimento elettromeccanico per  l’Emperador Coussin 700P.
